10/12: WebCT/Blackboard will be down from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday October 17. Please plan accordingly.

10/7: Here is an overview of the suggested work flow for tutorials, assignments and quizzes:

  1. Complete the Tutorial Case for the upcoming lesson:
    1. Read the textbook chapter (called a "Tutorial") and complete the exercises (called a Tutorial Case by the textbook) described in the figures of the chapter. This does NOT include any of the Review Assignments or Case Problems at the end of the chapter.
    2. Turn in your completed Tutorial Case to the Tutorial Cases folder in WebCT/Blackboard.
    3. Remember that grading for Tutorial Cases are based on whether you attempted the tutorial, not on how well it works. If you have problems completing the tutorial, either contact me, get help from a classmate, or bring your questions to class.
  2. Attend class and participate in the discussions.
  3. Complete the homework assignment specified in the assignment links from the schedule page. Turn in the completed assignment files to the Assignments folder in WebCT/Blackboard. Note that the files to turn in are listed in the assignment instructions under the section heading, "What to Turn In".
  4. Complete as many practice quizzes as you need to get ready and then take the graded quiz in WebCT/Blackboard.
  5. Until the course is over, start over again with step 1 and complete the Tutorial Case for the upcoming lesson.

9/26: Remember that the exercises from Tutorial 1 are due next week before class. Data files for textbook are available at the textbook web-site or here: student_downloads.zip.
