Overview
This document describes how to submit your in-class and lab exercises. The current technique is to submit a text document to the instructor using WebCT. To ensure full credit, you need to follow the guidelines explained in this document.
Exercise Header
Every exercise file should have a comment block at the top containing the course number, exercise or assignment number(s), your name and status of the exercise or assignment. One or two lines is usually sufficient for the status. For example:
CIS154
Exercise 2A, 2B
Jane User
Status: all exercises completed
Please be accurate in the status because the grader (i.e. your instructor) looks at incomplete exercises more leniently if the unresolved problems are clearly identified.
Exercise Labels
For every exercise contained in the file, include a header line that clearly identifies the exercise. For example:
Exercise 2A
There is normally just one file submitted for all exercises from one class.
Submission Instructions
- Check your files to make certain you have the following information at the top of each file:
- Course number (e.g. CIS154)
- Exercise number
- Your name
- Status
- Verify that every exercise is labeled clearly
- Submit the files using WebCT. If WebCT is not available, then you may email me your exercise. Do NOT zip files or alter them from text in any way. Please submit a text file, which includes HTML files, rather than a Word document.
Remember that exercises are due to the instructor before the start of the next class. There is no credit for late exercises.
