You need to turn in a paper copy of this sheet to the instructor. Attach a photo or drawing to the Student Information Sheet. Alternatively, describe one or more distinguishing characteristics of your appearance so that the instructor can identify you easily (e.g. "I'm the one with purple hair"). Do not attach a copy of your driver's license or any other document containing private information. Complete the Readiness Assessment quiz in WebCT. Note that this is an ungraded quiz and you are taking it only to help you determine if you have the necessary knowledge and skills to do well in this course. However, you will be graded on whether or not you take the quiz. Analyze and develop an algorithm for the problem described below. Make sure you provide a problem analysis that includes both a problem restatement and questions you asked about the problem, along with your answers to the questions. Also, number the steps of your algorithm. Submit a README.txt text file to WebCT with the number of hours you spent on this assignment following the format shown in the instructions for submitting assignments. Note that if you do not submit the file, you will receive a zero for this assignment. Browse the course web site and review the lesson 1 lecture notes. When you understand the web site content and structure, and the lesson 1 material, complete the A1 Quiz on WebCT. ^ top Extra Credit The following are worth extra credit points: Install Apache, PHP, MySQL and phpMyAdmin on a computer system. (2 points) Describe what operating system(s) you installed the tools on, the steps you went through and your results in the README.txt file you submit. Include a description of how you tested the installation. If you do not describe your installation adequately, you will not receive the extra credit. ^ top Grading Criteria The instructor will evaluate your assignment using the following criteria.
