Announcements

Announcements appear on this page during the course.

5/17: Reminder: the required final exam meeting for CIS-165PH is June 2 at 7:00 to 9:50 P.M. Attendance is mandatory and you must demonstrate your project to pass the course. If you cannot attend at the required time due to some compelling reason (such as you live out of state or a death in the family) you must email me before the meeting time to arrange a different time or means of presentation.

5/03: Reminder: the last day to withraw from a class is May 10.

4/08: MySQL database passwords on WebHawks changed in a recent update from your birthday (MMDDYY) to your birthday + last 4 digits of your student ID. I updated the WebHawks instructions to show this change.

4/02: On Monday 4/28 we will have a special guest for the first 15 minutes of the class: Rob Knight. Rob works as a Web developer at Quiddities and will talk to us about Web development and PHP. Even if you are taking the class online, you are welcome to stop by and hear what Rob has to say.

2/29: As you probably know, different Web browsers may display pages differently. The CTC has set up a computer with various browsers so you can test Web pages. The browsers installed are: IE6, SeaMonkey, Opera, Firefox, Flock, Netscape, and Safari. There are no other applications installed. Feel free to visit the CTC and test out your pages.

2/25: WebHawks accounts have been changed for CIS-165PH. Your Blackboard login is now the login for both WebHawks and your MySQL database account. Your password is your birthday. For instructions see: How To Use WebHawks.
