11/29: Day Class Only: In preparing for the final exam, I noticed that the final exam schedule is different than I have been posting all semester for the day class. The actual final exam schedule is: 10:00am-12:50pm Tuesday, Dec. 13. Please update your calendar accordingly.

11/17: Thinking about your career? Take a look at the latest job outlook. Technical fields continue to be the best area for jobs.

11/16: This is a reminder that CodeLab 10 is required and that exercise 10.4 is optional and extra credit.

11/04: This is a reminder that exercise 9.3 is optional.

10/21: The midterms are graded and you can view your score and entire test in WebCT. Note that I added 2 points to everyone's score. We will discuss the midterm next class meeting. Also, please remember the midterm policy if you are concerned about your score.

10/20: There seemed to be some confusion about the material on the midterm. Files and streams are included though I have decided not to ask you to write code to open files and use file streams. However, the multiple choice/short answer part of the midterm will have questions about files and streams.

10/04: If you know a lot about computer hardware and like to work on them, you should consider taking the CIS-160AA: A+ Certification Exam Preparation course. This 2 unit online course starts in mid-semester with an orientation meeting on October 20th from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

9/25: The CTC recommends that you copy any files you are using in your student folder to the desktop first and THEN open them.

9/17: You do not need to turn in exercise 3.4. Turning it in is optional.

9/06: If you are concerned about high gas prices or a potential bus strike, you should consider attending one of the Transportation Alternates meetings. In the meeting they will discuss online carpool matching, vanpooling, bicycle rack and locker subsidies, park and ride lot facilities, bicycle and pedestrian hazard reporting, electric bicycle and neighborhood electric vehicle subsidies. Meeting times are shown below.
