Important Final Exam Information Date and Time: 06/01/05 @ 10:00 A.M.- 12:50 P.M. Location: Room 516 (regular classroom) 5/10: This Sunday, May 15, 12 noon -3:00 PM, the CIS/CS faculty will be throwing an Appreciation BBQ for our students. It will be held on the oceanside of the Aptos campus behind Sesnon House. We are asking folks to bring something to BBQ and we will provide drinks and salads (maybe even some dessert!). 5/1: I posted my solution for assignment 8 in WebCT. If you had problems with your solution for assignment 8, you may either correct your solution or use the instructor's solution for assignment 9. I updated the assignment 9 specs to add a note about this. 4/23: I relaxed specification 2 for assignment 8 slightly to allow you to change the MyShapes hierarchy "to correct errors and add new shapes". 4/20: I extended the due date for assignment 8 through 4/27 at the start of class. 4/19: Assignment 8 now has a way to see the program in operation. You can see how the program runs by downloading PaintApp.jar and running the PaintApp program from the command line like this: >java -cp PaintApp.jar PaintApp 4/18: Trying to decide on a career? Here is the Winter 2005 survey from the National Association of Colleges and Employers: NACE Salary Survey 4/09: I added another extra credit option for A7: Art-o-matic: submitting your source code in a JAR file. 4/09: The midterms are graded and you can view your results in WebCT. We will go over the midterm at the next class meeting. For instruction on viewing your test results in WebCT, see the FAQ's page. 4/03: A practice midterm exam is available in WebCT. You may want to use it to prepare for the upcoming midterm exam. 3/31: I decided to delay assignment 7 until 04/13/05 to give you more time to prepare for the midterm. I will update the schedule in a few days. 3/21: Here is the test class I used in the grading of assignment 5: PairOfDiceTest.java. 2/26: I rearranged the schedule to emphasise the more important topics by putting them earlier in the schedule. In addition, I allocated more time to classes, objects and design at the expense of networking.
